The Tales from Dimwood Forest by Avi was one of my favorite book series to read as a child. I wanted to pay homage to those books by creating a system of designs that could be used book-to-book in a fictional reprint collection. I used a warm tan monochromatic based color scheme to tie all of the books together, while giving each individual book —along with their protagonists on the cover— a bold saturated color to set them apart. I also used a typeface that would make the novels feel classic and sincere.
